Who we are

HOPE Sri Lanka is a Sri Lanka based  Non-Governmental and Non-profit  organization. Launched in 1998, HOPE Sri Lanka seeks to promote sustainable economic and social development by working with community based organization and communities through relief and development programs, supporting them to build a better life and find their  solutions to social problems.

HOPE Sri Lanka aims to strengthen humanity’s fight against poverty and social injustice. Through the provision of immediate relief and establishment of self-sustaining development programs, we aim to invest in real, effective solutions. By establishing firm and loyal grass root relationships with local, national and international partners we are able to access some of the hardest to reach places at the most vulnerable of times.

HOPE Sri Lanka believes that establishing stable health care, education and income generation programs, paves the way for empowered, self-serving communities. Through the provision of immediate relief and establishment of sustainable development programs, we aim to invest in real effective solutions. We also recognize that the provision of food, medical aid and emergency shelter in times of humanitarian crises is essential for the immediate preservation of life. As such, we value the importance of a multidimensional aid approach, and therefore dedicate our time respectively between emergency relief and long-term development.

Our vision is to see a Sri Lanka where every poor and vulnerable people have the best possible start in life.

Our mission is to transform the lives of poor and vulnerable people, their families and communities through compassion, collaboration and capacity

We strive for social rights of individuals and communities and access to resources and power.

We believe in all people realizing their rights, respect and   healthy self-esteem.
